From Burned Out to Lit Up: 3 Keys to Your Inner Glow Part 3
SHIFT 2: THE SELF-LOVE REFRAME
You Don’t Need to Prove Your Worth. It’s Already Yours.
Here’s a truth I wish someone had told me at 15. Or 25. Or hell, even 40: Self-love is not a performance or earned. It’s coming home to yourself.
It’s choosing rest when your to-do list screams otherwise, saying “I don’t want that” and not offering a single apology, and letting your body soften, even when the world tells you to hustle harder. If you’ve spent your life chasing gold stars, straight A’s, promotions, the perfect body, or the ideal partner, you’re not alone.
Many of us learned early on that love was conditional and to be worthy, we had to achieve, please, or perform. We became masters of overachieving and under-receiving, gave more than we had, and tried to be everything for everyone.
When you root your worth and joy inside yourself and finally stop outsourcing it to partners, promotions, or praise, your confidence becomes unshakable.

Exercise: Inner Glow Affirmation
Every time you notice yourself grasping for approval today, pause and reflect. Put your hand on your heart and say:
“I am enough exactly as I am. My worth does not depend on anyone else’s approval.”
It might feel fake at first. And that’s okay. You’re not faking it until you make it. You’re remembering.
Then, journal:
• Where did I seek approval today?
• Why do I care more about that person’s opinion of me than my opinion of myself?
• What would it look like to give that focus and love to myself instead?
